The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas praises Palestinian citizens of Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 for attending Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Ibrahimi Mosque in an act of defiance of the Israeli occupation and its repressive measures and schemes targeting the Al-Aqsa compound. 

We call on Palestinian Jerusalemites to continue defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque. 

We urge the Arab and Muslim leaders and peoples to act in support of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Muslims’ first Qibla.
