Member of Hamas Political Bureau Abroad Sami Abu Zuhri has condemned the Israeli occupation's Judaisation policy against Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque as a "dangerous development targeting the Palestinian people and Arab and Muslim world and their religion and holy sites."

In a press statement Saturday, Abu Zuhri pointed out that the Palestinian people are prepared to confront the Israeli occupation and its crimes. 

The Hamas official called on the Arab and Muslim peoples to assume their role in protecting the Al-Aqsa Mosque as the Palestinian cause is facing "serious and unprecedented" challenges amid a wave of Arab normalisation with the Israeli occupation. 

"Our message in this critical stage is that the Al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to the whole Ummah, which requires it to assume its historical duties and religious responsibilities towards the site," Abu Zuhri added.
