The Al-Aqsa Intifada represented a milestone in the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the desecration of sanctities. It also emphasized that the Israeli occupation's ongoing crimes and continued terrorism against Palestinians will fail to quell the resistance of the Palestinian people to the Israeli occupation until liberation and return.

On the twenty-second anniversary of the blessed Al-Aqsa Intifada, which comes in light of the Israeli occupation's escalated aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hamas states the following:

First: We pray to Allah to have mercy on the souls of the Palestinian heroes who were martyred during the Al-Aqsa Intifada while defending our land and sanctities. We salute the steadfast Palestinian defenders of Al-Aqsa who marched from across Palestine to confront the Israeli occupation forces and extremist settlers' attacks.

Second: The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque has been and will always be a Muslim place of worship, and the Israeli occupation's attempts to divide it and exercise sovereignty over it are doomed to failure. It is also the core of the struggle against the, and we will not abdicate our responsibility to liberate it at any cost.

Third: We hail the Palestinian people's courageous resistance to the Israeli occupation, and we confirm that the colonial settlers' provocative incursions into the holy Mosque require escalated comprehensive resistance.

Fourth: Comprehensive resistance by a unified people determined to extract their rights and stand against the Israeli occupation's Judaization schemes is the only way to liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine.

Fifth: Hamas calls on the steadfast Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank, the 1948 occupied territories, and Jerusalem to mobilize in defence of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and to thwart the Israeli occupation and colonial settlers' malicious plans. We also call on the Arab and Islamic nations and the free people of the world to mobilize efforts at the political, diplomatic, media, and popular levels and support the defenders of Al-Aqsa with all means possible until liberation and return.
