As the Israeli occupation and colonial settlers are escalating their crimes and violations against Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Palestinian people mark a special anniversary that represents a milestone in their continued freedom struggle to defend Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Palestinian people are commemorating the seventh anniversary of the Al-Quds Intifada (Uprising), which broke out on 1 October 2015 after the arson attack by Israeli settlers on the Dawabsheh family in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, followed by resistance actions by Palestinians.
The spirit of this intifada is engraved in the hearts and minds of the Palestinian people across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. The scenes of Palestinians defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque against Israeli settlers bear witness to the Palestinian people’s preparedness to make sacrifices until the liberation of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
On this anniversary, we mourn the death of all Palestinian martyrs who have fallen while defending their lands and holy sites.
We hail the Palestinian people for standing steadfast and resisting the Israeli occupation and colonial settlers with all means possible.
