Hamas official Ali Baraka highly appreciated Algeria’s initiative to hold a national dialogue to heal the internal Palestinian division.

Baraka said in a press statement on Friday that the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas thanks the Algerian leadership for their honest endeavours.

Hamas accepts the initiative and confirms it will spare no effort to make the Palestinian national dialogue fruitful, he added.

He stressed that Hamas wants to rearrange the Palestinian Home by reforming and reactivating the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). This occurs only through electing a new national council that includes representatives for Palestinians in Palestine and the diaspora, leading inevitably to a new executive committee that will develop a unified Palestinian strategy to face the Israeli occupation and colonization, Jerusalem Judaization, and Gaza siege.

Baraka emphasised that holding the elections is the path to ending the Palestinian split, achieving Palestinian reconciliation, rearranging the Palestinian house, and resisting the Israeli occupation until liberation and return.

He concluded by saying that the Algerian people’s victory over the French occupation by resistance is evidence that resistance is the only way to liberation and return.
