The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemned the Israeli storming into Al- Aqsa Mosque and the attacks and arrests targeting Muslim worshipers at the holy site.

In a press statement on Sunday, Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that the continuous Israeli incursions and the denying of thousands of Palestinians of the right to perform prayers at Al-Aqsa mark a blatant violation of the Muslim sanctity and an extension of the religious war waged by Zionism against Palestinians.

“Israeli violations are encouraged by the continuous security collaboration with the Palestinian Authority and the double repression facing resistance activists,” he underscored.

He asserted that Palestinians will not abandon their role in defending Al-Aqsa Mosque on behalf of all Muslims regardless the cost.

“The Jerusalem intifada will retrieve its momentum,” he said, confirming that the occupation will not force its agenda on Palestinian people and sanctities.
