Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh, accompanied by a high-level delegation from the Palestinian resistance movement, arrived Monday evening in the Algeria capital to attend talks on Palestinian reconciliation.
Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh, accompanied by a high-level delegation from the Palestinian resistance movement, arrived Monday evening in the Algerian capital to attend talks on Palestinian reconciliation.
The visit comes at the invitation of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The delegation that includes members of the Hamas politburo Khalil al-Hayya, Maher Salah, and Husam Badran will meet with the Algerian leadership and Palestinian factions to achieve intra-Palestinian unity.
The meetings will also address bilateral relations with Algeria and the Palestinian political and field developments and how to put the Palestinian cause back at the top of the agenda of next month’s Arab Summit.
The Hamas leadership is keen for the Algerian efforts to succeed and reasserts its unwavering position to achieve Palestinian unity to confront the serious challenges threatening the Palestinian people and their national cause.
