The Israeli occupation’s ongoing strict siege on the Palestinian citizens of occupied Jerusalem neighbourhoods, especially on the Shuafat refugee camp and the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, is a continuation of its policy of collective punishment against the Palestinian people.

Laying a tight siege on occupied Jerusalem towns that disrupts the aspects of everyday lives of Palestinians such as education and health, preventing patients from being transferred to hospitals, escalating incursions into the civilians’ homes, detaining and threatening to shoot Palestinians will not intimidate our people from continuing their resistance in defence of their land and sanctities.

The Hamas movement hails the Palestinian people across occupied Palestine for their steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation, and we call on them to continue resisting it and its colonial settlers.

Hamas also urges the international community and human rights organizations to take immediate action to criminalize the escalating Israeli occupation’s aggression against the Palestinian people, land, and sanctities and stand by our side in the legitimate struggle for liberation and return.
