The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas rejects and condemns the Zionist occupation authorities' closure of the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron to Muslim worshippers.

The Hamas movement condemns allowing colonial settlers to defile it and violate its sanctity by holding festivals there and considers such practices a flagrant violation of freedom of worship.

We affirm that the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque is a Muslim place of worship, and this fact was confirmed by the The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2017, and that the colonial settlers have no right to it.

Hamas calls on the Palestinian people and factions to continue resisting the Zionist forces and settlers' violations. We also call on the international and human rights bodies to condemn and criminalize these acts and lend their support to our people, land, and sanctities.
