The Zionist occupation’s approval of new plans to build thousands of colonial settlement units on the Palestinian lands of Shuafat, Beit Hanina, Beit Safafa, Al Walaja, Ein Karem and Lifta in northern occupied Jerusalem is a dangerous escalation and a new crime that gravely disregards international laws and resolutions that criminalize “Israel’s” colonial settlement expansion.

The Hamas movement considers such dangerously increasing colonial settlement expansion schemes are desperate attempts to impose a new reailty that will not change facts nor will they obliterate the features of occupied Jerusalem. 

Condemning the international silence over and indifference towards the Israeli occupation’s violations against the Palestinian land, people, and Christian and Muslim sanctities, Hamas calls on the international community at all Political, diplomatic, media, humanitarian, and human rights levels to criminalize such practices and work on stopping them.

We also call on the Palestinian people to stand against these attacks and repel them by all available means until liberation and return.
