We, in Hamas movement, absolutely reject the Israeli occupation’s plans to change the features of old city of Jerusalem by escalating Judaization schemes and colonial expansion. The most recent of these plans is the refurbishment works in an abandoned tunnel in the so called ‘Mount Zion’ that connects different areas in Jerusalem. We deem these works a malicious step to turn the tunnel into an Israeli tourist site,  and we consider them a crime against the city of Jerusalem. These attempts will not change the Palestinian identity of the city.
