Member of Hamas’s Political Bureau Fathi Hammad met Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ) Ziad Al-Nakhala along with member of PIJ political bureau Anwar Abu Taha, and Ihsan Ataya, PIJ’s representative in Lebanon.

The Hamas and Islamic Jihad officials stressed that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine, and it will remain the core of the Palestinian freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation. They also reiterated that the Israeli occupation’s schemes to Judaise or divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque are doomed to failure.

Emphasising the necessity for unified resistance against the occupation, the called on the Palestinian people to escalate their resistance against the Israeli occupation until liberation and return.
