As the Israeli occupation escalates its aggression against Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque and maintains a tight siege on Nablus for the 14th day in a row, Hamas Movement states the following:

First: We hail all Palestinians who are defending Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. We salute Palestinian citizens of the West Bank who are standing steadfast in the face of the Israeli occupation and colonial settlers.

Second: Embracing resistance to the Israeli occupation in the occupied West Bank is a prelude for a renewed intifada (uprising) that reflects the Palestinians’ faith in comprehensive resistance as their sole option to liberation and return.

Third: The continued blockade imposed on Nablus and other towns and villages in the occupied West Bank is a full-fledged crime that will not break the Palestinian people’s will. The siege reflects the failure of the Israeli occupation security establishment in the face of Palestinian steadfastness.

Fourth: We call on the Palestinian people to express solidarity with Nablus and intensify their resistance to the Israeli occupation.

Fifth: On the United Nations Day, on 24 October, we urge all UN bodies to criminalise the Israeli occupation and its aggressive policies against the Palestinian people and their land and Muslim and Christian holy sites and to support the Palestinian cause and the Palestinians’ rights to liberation, return and self determination.
