Member of Hamas political Bureau Huzam Badran condemned the arrest of Palestinian activist Omar Assaf by the Palestinian Authority’s security forces in the West Bank.

In a press statement, the Hamas official called on the PA to release all political activists held in its jails to create a positive atmosphere for reconciliation.

He described this move as a ‘necessary step’ to support the Palestinian talks held recently in Algeria and rearrange the Palestinian home by holding the national vote and restructuring the Palestinian Liberation organization.
