Hamas has called on Palestinians to register to vote in the upcoming Palestinian municipal elections.

In a press statement on Saturday, Hamas spokesman Husam Badran urged Palestinian citizens to head to Central Elections Committee centers to register and update their information in order to be able to vote in the next round of municipal elections set to be held in October.

“Participating in the upcoming vote is both every citizen’s right and duty,” Badran said.

Registration process for the municipal elections has kicked off on Saturday and is to continue over the next five days throughout the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
