The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas rejects and condemns the ongoing negotiations between the European Commission and the Israeli occupation to reach an agreement to exchange data of Palestinian citizens of the besieged Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, thus recognising the legality and sovereignty of the Israeli occupation over occupied Palestine.

Such negotiations are a dangerous precedent that violates the international law.

We call on the European Union to stop such negotiations, backtrack on all relevant agreements, and refrain from adopting double standards when it comes to the Israeli occupation state.
