Head of Hamas political bureau Ismail Haniyeh congratulated Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on becoming the new PM of Malaysia after the recent vote.

In a phone call, the Hamas chief expressed his wishes to his excellency and the new Malaysian government to achieve success and prosperity for the country and to keep up its role as a leading country in the Islamic world, calling on the Prime Minister to continue supporting the Palestinian cause.

The Malaysian Prime Minister thanked the head of the movement for his wishes, stressing his unwavering position in support of the Palestinian cause at international forums.
