Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has extended congratulations to the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, on the 51st anniversary of the Arab Gulf nation’s National Day. 

In a letter addressed to the UAE president, Haniyeh said: “We offer our sincere congratulations and wishes on the occasion of the 51st National Day of the brotherly United Arab Emirates in memory of the late founding father of this nation, Sheikh Zayed.” 

Haniyeh wished the UAE a future of progress and prosperity in all fields, hoping for a sense of unity to prevail among all Arab and Muslim nations.
