Member of Hamas Political Bureau Basem Naim has condemned the silence of the international community, especially the European Union countries, regarding the complicity of more than 700 European financial institutions in supporting colonial settlements built on stolen Palestinian lands.

These institutions violate international law, contribute directly to the violation of Palestinian rights, work to maintain the Zionist project, and undermine any chance to establish an independent Palestinian state, Naim said.

The Hamas official called on the international community, especially the European Union countries, to take practical measures to stop the continued Israeli occupation's aggression against the Palestinian people, foremost of which is colonial settlement and expansion.

He also called for imposing sanctions on any entity that supports the Israeli occupation and its aggression and violation of international law.
