On this day every year, the world marks the Human Rights Day adopted by the United Nations in 1948, while the Israeli occupation escalates its terror and systematic violations, including deliberate killings, settler-colonial encroachment on Palestinian lands, land theft, Judaisation, siege, and racial discrimination and segregation in a stark violation of the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and international law.

Marking Human Rights Day is an opportunity to shed light on the scale and gravity of the unabated Israeli crimes and terrorism.

It is also a suitable opportunity to remind the whole world of their historical, political, and humanitarian responsibilities to take actual action to criminalise the Israeli occupation’s violations and colonial settlers’ terrorism, work on putting an end to them, and prosecute their perpetrators as war criminals at international courts.

On this occasion, we reaffirm our commitment to the legitimate Palestinian rights, foremost among them are the rights to freedom, self-determination, liberation, and return.

We reiterate our rejection of all schemes aimed at waiving Palestinian rights or resettling Palestinian refugees in other countries. We hail the Palestinian people across historic Palestine and in the diaspora for holding on to and defending their homeland and rights.

We laud all Arab, Islamic, and international efforts and positions taken in support of the Palestinian people and their rights and legitimate struggle for freedom.

We call on the UN and the international community to put an end to the escalating Israeli crimes being committed in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, end the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, and enable the Palestinian people to defend themselves with all means possible until ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
