Hamas movement has extended condolences to the Palestinian people and the Palestinian National Liberation Movement Fatah on the death of one of the movement’s founders and senior official Salim Zanoun. 

In a press statement, the movement expressed sorrow over the death of Zanoun, who had served as the President of the Palestinian National Council.

Zanoun passed away Wednesday evening in Jordan.

Hamas said that Zanoun was a national figure who had fought for the rights of the Palestinian people and been committed to the Palestinian cause.
