Head of Hamas' Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has congratulated His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on the National Day of the State of Qatar.

On behalf of his movement and the Palestinian people, the Hamas' chief expressed his warmest congratulations to Qatar's Emir on the National Day of his country.

Haniyeh expressed his pride in Qatar's high-level organisation and successful hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, during which the Arab and Muslim Ummah and the free peoples of the world expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people.

He showed his deep appreciation for His Highness Sheikh Tamim and the influential role of the State of Qatar in supporting the Palestinian cause, strengthening the Palestinian people's steadfastness, and alleviating the suffering of Palestinians beleaguered in Gaza.
