Member of Hamas Political Bureau Basim Naim has welcomed the states' positions at the UN Security Council session on Thursday that stressed the need to maintain the status quo at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and condemned the storming of the holy Mosque by the so-called Occupation's Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir.

Naim reiterated that the racist Israeli occupation poses a threat to the stability and security of the region and to world peace as well. 

"We look forward to translating such stances against the settler-colonial occupation and its racist policies and violations of holy places into practical steps to pressure it to grant the Palestinian people their aspiration to liberation and self-determination", said the Hamas' official.
