The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has condemned the Israeli occupation army's fierce bombardment in the blockaded Gaza Strip as an "extension to the Israeli occupation's crimes against our Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem, and occupied Palestine." 

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem reiterated early Friday morning that the Palestinian people have the right to resist the Israeli occupation and fend off its continued aggression with all means possible.

In a press statement, Qasem hailed the Palestinian resistance for assuming its duty to defend its people and their holy sites.
