Head of the Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has urged the world’s leaders to pressure the Israeli occupation into stopping crimes against the Palestinian people and prisoners held in Israeli jails.
In a letter penned to political leaders, Haniyeh explained that the Israeli Prison Service had launched a violent crackdown against Palestinian detainees held in Israeli jails to suppress them.
“This crackdown is part of the terrorist agenda of the Netanyahu-led government”, the top Hamas official added, noting that such a campaign is led by extremist Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir.
