We strongly condemn the breaking into Habs Al-Maseeh Church located in the old city of Jerusalem by a group of Israeli settlers, who attacked the church, ransacked its properties, and tried set fire to it.

We deem this action a fascist and racist demeanour that contradicts international law and  religious values. It is part of calculated Israeli crimes against the Palestinian holy places, historic churches, and cemeteries. Such crimes are also aimed to Juadize the city and change its Arab and Palestinian features.

Hamas emphasizes that Jerusalem belongs to Arabs, and the Palestinian people will continue to defend the Muslim and Christian places there.

We also reiterate our appeal to the international community, human rights groups, and international organizations to work towards holding the Israeli settlers accountable for crimes and violations at international courts.
