The Israeli occupation government continues to push for its aggressive, settler-colonial policy in historic Palestine, announcing plans to build a new settlement near the besieged Gaza Strip. 

Such dangerous development will neither bring Israeli colonial settlers security or stability nor will it grant the Israeli occupation legitimacy or sovereignty over our Palestinian homeland. 

We stress that the Israeli occupation government solely bears responsibility for its disregard by constructing a colonial settlement near the Gaza Strip. 

It also bears full responsibility for accelerating its settler-colonial activity across the occupied West Bank. 

We call on the international community to assume responsibility and put an end to such racist, settler-colonial policies threatening security and stability in the region.
