Hamas movement has welcomed the outcomes of the Jerusalem Conference held in Cairo. 

The final statement of the conference confirmed that Jerusalem faces Israeli threats and colonial settlement projects. It stressed the importance of preserving the identity and historic features of the Palestinian Muslim and Christian holy places there. 

In a press release, Hamas hailed the Arab countries' supportive positions expressed at the conference. 

The movement called for translating these stances into practical plans to protect Jerusalem against Israeli attempts to Judaize the city and change its historic features. 

Hamas also urged Arab and Islamic countries, along with the free peoples of the world, to adopt urgent plans to support the steadfastness of Palestinians in Jerusalem and across Palestine.
