We hail South Africa's African National Congress for welcoming the expulsion of the Israeli occupation delegation from the African Union summit held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. 

Such an honourable position goes in line with the South African ruling party's previous stances in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people in their struggle for their legitimate rights. 

We also praise the stances of friendly Arab and African states endorsing the Palestinian rights. 

We call on them to continue pressing for an end to the efforts being exerted to grant the Israeli occupation an observer status at the AU in a move that would reflect the supreme values and principles of these countries.
