The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourns Palestinian civilians, Husam Esleem, 24, Mohammed Abu Bakr, 23, Mohammed Al-Anbousi, 25, Tamer Minawi, 33, Mus’ab E’weis, 26, Adnan Be’ara, 72, Walid Dakhil, 23, Jasir Qaneir, 23, Mohammed Abdel-Ghani, 23, and Mohammed Sha’ban, 16, who were killed at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces during their aggression against the occupied West Bank city of Nablus this morning.

Besieging Palestinians and destroying their homes while they are inside and targeting the elderly people and children in occupied Nablus would not dissuade the Palestinian people from resistance, nor would it bring security and peace to the Israeli occupation state.

Hamas hails the Palestinian freedom fighters who stood steadfast in the face of the Israeli occupation’s aggression defending their city and reiterates that this crime “will not go unnoticed”.

Hamas reiterates that resisting the occupation is a legitimate right for the Palestinian people in their quest for freedom as stipulated in UN Resolution 37/43, dated December 3, 1982, which reaffirms "the legitimacy of the struggle of peoples for independence, territorial integrity, national unity and liberation from colonial and foreign domination and occupation by all available means, including armed struggle."
