Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has received a phone call from Ali Akbar Velayati, an advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on international affairs.

They discussed the latest political developments related to the Palestinian cause.

The Hamas chairman said, "We are in a new stage of the Palestinian cause".

Commenting on the Palestinian Authorities' participation in a security meeting with the Israeli occupation in Jordan, Haniyeh emphasised that the general Palestinian stance is against such a meeting.

He also expressed his appreciation for Velayati's call and reiterated that his movement seeks to cement relations with the Arab and Muslim Ummah, commending the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the Palestinian issue and resistance.
