Today marks Injured Palestinians’ Day, on which the Palestinian people commemorate the heroic sacrifices made by the Palestinians in their quest for freedom, as more than a quarter of a million have been injured by the Israeli occupation forces.

On this day, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas asks Allah to have mercy on the souls of the Palestinian martyrs and salutes the injured Palestinians and detainees and their families and states the following:

First: Hamas reaffirms its commitment to the option of resistance as a means to regain our legitimate rights and end the settler-colonial occupation to Palestine.

Second: The Palestinians injured through long years of freedom struggle against the Israeli occupation are part and parcel of core national issues.

Third: The blood of the Palestinian martyrs and the suffering of the injured will not be in vain, and the Israeli occupation leaders should be held responsible for the crimes committed against the Palestinian people at international courts.

Fourth: The option of resistance will remain the strategic option in the face of the Israeli settler-colonial occupation at any cost.
