The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas condemns in the strongest possible terms the racist statements made by Israeli occupation’s Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich, denying the Palestinian existence.

These remarks show the Israeli occupation’s fascism and its stark violation of international law and the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.

Smotrich’s comments clearly reflect the fascist policies of colonial settlement expansion and forced eviction of the Palestinian people, on which the occupation state was founded.

Hamas calls on the international community, and France in particular, to take a firm stance on the Israeli occupation state and its racist finance minister, who had previously called for wiping out the Palestinian town of Huwwara.

We also call on the Arab states that normalized ties with the settler-colonial occupation to cut those ties and defend the Palestinian people’s right to freedom and self-determination.
