Today marks the 47th anniversary of Palestine Land Day, during which the Palestinian people in occupied Galilee, the Triangle, and the Negev revolted against colonial settlement expansion and the policy of forced displacement and settler-colonial occupation.
On that day, whose legacy represents a landmark in the Palestinian people's quest for freedom, the righteous Palestinian martyrs have set the most wonderful examples of unity and resistance that continue to inspire the Palestinian people to keep up their legitimate right to resistance.
Commemorating Palestine Land Day, Hamas states the following:
First: Hamas salutes the Palestinian heroic martyrs, wishes the injured speedy recovery, and hails detainees in Israeli jails.
Second: We reaffirm our adherence to the option of comprehensive national resistance as the sole means to regain our rights and liberate our occupied lands and holy sites.
Third: We will not give up an inch of our historical Palestine, from the river to the sea, and reiterate that the Israeli occupation's land grab and colonial settlement expansion schemes are doomed to failure.
Fourth: Occupied Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque are the core of the Palestinian struggle for freedom, and the Israeli occupation will not have sovereignty over them and we will defend them with all means possible and at any cost.
Fifth: The Palestinian refugees' inalienable right to return to their lands, from which they were forcibly evicted by the Israeli occupation, is an individual and collective right. We renew our total rejection of all resettlement projects.
Sixth: Hamas hails the steadfast Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip, occupied West Bank, Jerusalem, and the territories occupied in 1948, refugee camp, and the diaspora for their heroic steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation’s continued crimes.
Seventh: We renew our call to the Arab and Muslim Ummah and the free peoples of the world to show solidarity with the just Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people's legitimate right to resistance in the face of the settler-colonial occupation. We also call for working towards isolating and criminalising the fascist Israeli occupation and prosecuting its leaders in international courts.
