Today marks Palestinian Children's Day amidst a surge of Israeli occupation forces' crimes and violations against Palestinian children, as the Israeli occupation forces have killed 17 Palestinian children since the start of 2023. And there are nearly 170 children incarcerated in Israeli jails.

The Israeli occupation forces also deny Palestinian children access to schools and proper medical care and use them as human shields.

On this anniversary, Hamas calls for:

First: Protecting Palestinian children and granting them their full legitimate rights to education, medical care, food, and a free and dignified life, on a par with children in other countries.

Second: Taking practical measures to hold the Israeli occupation leaders and Israeli colonial settlers accountable for their crimes against the Palestinian people.

Third: Listing the Israeli occupation and its fascist government in the "List of Shame" that includes government armed forces responsible for grave violations against children in armed conflict.

Fourth: Exerting pressure on the Israeli occupation to end its organised crimes and violations against the Palestinian children languishing in Israeli jails and working towards releasing them.
