Head of Hamas International Relations Office Dr Musa Abu Marzouq phoned this afternoon Special Envoy of the Russian President for the Middle East and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov to discuss the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

Abu Marzouq called for pressuring the Israeli occupation into stopping its violations at the Al-Aqsa mosque that may escalate the situation in Palestine.

The senior Hamas official briefed his Russian counterpart on the Israeli crimes against Palestinians and confirmed that the Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves against the Israeli occupation’s violations.

Bogdanov reiterated the Russian position in support of Palestinian rights and explained to the Hamas official the efforts exerted by Russia with all parties to stop the Israeli occupation’s attacks.
