The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has condemned the Israeli hijacking on Wednesday of the Gaza-bound “Women’s Boat to Gaza” in the Mediterranean.

Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum deemed the hijacking an act of piracy and state terrorism.

“This transgression reflects the extent to which the Israeli occupation has gone in its violations and crimes against our people and those expressing solidarity with the Palestinians,” he said in a press statement.

“The hijacking of the boat aims to cover up the continuous crime against humanity that the unjust siege on Gaza represents.” He underscored.

He urged decision makers to put an end to Israeli crimes and terminate the illegal Israeli siege, calling for activists to continue their attempts to break Israel’s siege by all means.
