The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has emphasised that the Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip will not deter the Palestinian resistance from carrying out its national duty of defending its people and figures. 

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem condemned the Israeli bombardment of the blockaded Gaza Strip as a "new escalation that came following the Israeli occupation's assassination of Palestinian detainee Khader Adnan." 

In a press statement late Tuesday night, Qasem hailed the Palestinian freedom fighters for defending their people in the face of the continued Israeli aggression.
