The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has emphasised that regional and international silence and double standards have encouraged the Israeli occupation to intensify its crimes against the Palestinian people. 

Hamas spokesperson Abdel Latif al-Qanoa called for an "urgent action" to put an end to the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. 

"The Israeli occupation is committing crimes against humanity by bombing Palestinian homes and killing dozens of innocent civilians, including children and women," al-Qanoa added in a press statement Saturday. 

The Hamas spokesperson stressed that the Palestinian people will continue to defend themselves against the Israeli aggression with all means possible.
