The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has welcomed the reconciliation initiative presented by Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad Ramadan Abdallah Shallah.
In a press release on Saturday, Hamas called for the full implementation of the comprehensive initiative and urged all Palestinian groups to endorse and support it in order to straighten the Palestinian political situation.
Hamas also extended congratulations to the Islamic Jihad on the 29th anniversary of the founding of the Movement.
Earlier on Friday, Shallah had laid down a plan of ten points as a way out from the current impasse in Palestinian politics.
The plan calls for canceling Oslo accords, withdrawing PLO's recognition of Israel and restructuring the PLO so that it includes all parties of the Palestinian political spectrum.
