The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has emphasised on the 75th Nakba anniversary that the perpetrators of the Nakba (ethnic cleansing of Palestine) will never manage to break the will, neither through forced displacement, expulsion or massacres, nor through distortion and falsification of history.
The movement stressed that the situation in Palestine "is a struggle between the system of justice, ethics, and humanity, and the system of terrorism and racism that seeks to consolidate the settler-colonial occupation of Palestine and surrounding countries".
Hamas called in a document penned to ministers of foreign affairs in the world and to international organisations for siding with the just Palestinian cause and taking swift action to end all forms of aggression against the Palestinian people until they regain their right to return to their land from which they were forcibly expelled.
The Palestinian resistance movement reaffirmed the Palestinian people's right to resist the Israeli occupation by all available means, as per divine laws and as included in the Hague and Geneva Conventions, the Fourth Geneva Convention treaty, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Hamas called for exposing the Israeli occupation at all forums and prosecuting its leaders at the International Criminal Court for their continued crimes against the Palestinian people.
Hamas also called for lifting the 17-year-long illegal siege imposed on the Gaza Strip that has had severe effects on the people of the coastal territory and for protecting the Palestinian people from the Israeli occupation forces' repeated and escalating crimes.
