Hamas spokesperson Jehad Taha has hailed Kuwaiti player Abdulaziz Alshatti’s withdrawal from the world fencing championship held in Turkey.

 The Kuwaiti fencer withdrew from the championship after he refused to face an Israeli player.

Commenting on the decision of the Kuwaiti fencer, the Hamas spokesperson said: “These positions from the friends of the Palestinian people will be highly appreciated by the Palestinian people.”
