Hamas Movement has condemned the preliminary approval of the construction of 400 settlement units in occupied Jerusalem's Abu Dis town by the Israeli occupation authorities as a dangerous escalation and an attempt to build a settler neighbourhood in the city.

Hamas Movement has condemned the preliminary approval of the construction of 400 settlement units in occupied Jerusalem's Abu Dis town by the Israeli occupation authorities as a dangerous escalation and an attempt to build a settler neighbourhood in the city.
Such a move is aimed at imposing Israeli sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem and isolating it from other Palestinian communities and cities. These endeavours will not grant the Israeli occupation legitimacy in the occupied Palestinian capital.
Hamas calls on the Arab League, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and the United Nations to take swift action to put an end to the settler-colonial occupation's schemes that violate international law and relevant UN resolutions.
