The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has called on the Palestinian people to intensify their presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to defend it against Israeli violations.
"The repeated bannings of Palestinian worshippers from accessing the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Israeli settlers' incursions and the increasing provocations against them require a unified Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic position in response," Abdel Jabar Saed, member of Hamas Political Bureau Abroad, said.
Saed urged the Palestinian citizens of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 to assume their "pivotal role" in protecting the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the face of the "religious war waged by the Israeli occupation against our Palestinian people."
