Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has extended his congratulations to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on winning the country’s presidential election.

Hailing the civilised image that the Turkish people has shown during that democratic process, Haniyeh said: “We are looking forward to new years of supporting our Palestinian cause and Jerusalem.”
