The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has staged a massive popular march in Jabalia camp in the northern besieged Gaza Strip in solidarity with the Al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem.
Speaking at the protest, attended by thousands of Palestinians, Hamas official Mohammad Abu Askr warned that the Israeli occupation is attempting to impose a new fait accompli at the Al-Aqsa compound through temporal and spatial division of the Muslim holy site.
He pointed out that the Israeli occupation is taking advantage of religious holidays to "wage a religious war against the Al-Aqsa Mosque."
Abu Askr hailed the Palestinian citizens of Jerusalem for defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the face of the Israeli occupation's schemes targeting the mosque.
"The Al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to all Muslims and requires support in all forms," Abu Askr concluded.
