The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has condemned the Israeli occupation's decision to close the investigations into the executions of the elderly Palestinian-American Omar Asad and the child Mohammad al-Tamimi. 

"The Israeli occupation continues to show utter contempt for all humanitarian laws and norms," Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qasem said Thursday. 

"We do not trust the investigations conducted by the criminal Israeli occupation army through which it seeks to evade international prosecution," Qasem added in a press statement. 

The Hamas spokesperson emphasised that the Israeli occupation will "pay the price" for its crimes against the Palestinian people. 

The Israeli occupation's continued crimes and the international community's failure to assume its duties will not deter the Palestinian people from continuing their struggle against the occupation until achieving their aspirations for freedom and independence.
