The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas views with deep concern the Israeli occupation knesset's plan to discuss a draft bill allowing the imprisonment of Palestinian children aged 12 years or above. 

This outrageous move reflects the racist and brutal nature of the Israeli occupation and requires a serious position by the international community to condemn the Israeli occupation and hold it accountable for its continued crimes against the Palestinian people and children. 

Palestinian children have long been subjected to the most heinous crimes committed at the hands of the Israeli occupation, including killings, detention, maltreatment, and torture. 

Legalising such fascist practices constitutes a stark violation of all laws guaranteeing the protection of children during conflicts. 

In light of such criminal move, Hamas asserts that all inhumane and immoral practices will not dissuade the Palestinian people from continuing their struggle to defend themselves and their holy sites and achieve their aspirations for freedom and self-determination.
