A high-ranking delegation from the Hamas Movement led by the head of its Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, arrived in Tehran on Monday morning. 

The visit comes upon invitation of Iran. 

Deputy Hamas chief Saleh al-Aruri, Khalil al-Hayya, and other senior officials from the movement were in the Hamas delegation. 

The senior Hamas officials will meet Iranian leaders to discuss issues of mutual interest, particularly those relating to the Palestinian cause.
