Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh has met with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf in the Iranian capital, Tehran. 

Accompanied by a high-level Hamas delegation, Haniyeh briefed Qalibaf on the political situation in Palestine, hailing the Palestinian people for resisting the occupation with all means possible. 

Haniyeh highlighted the importance of parliaments' pivotal role in endorsing just causes around the world, particularly the Palestinian issue and hailed Iran's role in support of the Palestinian people and their resistance to the occupation.   

Qalibaf, in return, reiterated that the Palestinian cause remains central to the whole Muslim world, reaffirming the Iranian parliament's support for the Palestinian people and resistance.
